It follows the relationship between Elphaba, the future Wicked Witch of the West, and Glinda, the Good Witch of the North. The second of a two-part feature film adaptation of the Broadway musical. Wicked first announced that it would be split into two films in April 2022, with creator Stephen Schwartz explaining, “The truth is, I tried for a while. We wanted to make it a movie that we wanted to cut or leave out things that we thought fans of the show and the story would appreciate, (which)" He continued, “We had a hard time getting past ‘Gravity Defying’. Without a break.
