The action of “The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim” takes place 183 years before the events depicted in the original film trilogy. It tells the story of the family of Helm Hammerhand, the legendary King of Rohan. A sudden attack by Wulf, the cunning and ruthless Lord of Dunlending seeking revenge for his father’s death, forces Helm and his people to make a courageous last stand at the ancient fortress of Hornburg – a mighty stronghold that would later become known as Helm’s Deep. Finding herself in an increasingly desperate situation, Hera, Helm’s daughter, must muster the will to lead the resistance against a deadly enemy determined to destroy them utterly.
