Colman Domingo’s first major TV role
Tale
Media expert Muncie Daniels must fight for his innocence and his life after he stumbles upon a murder deep in the Poconos… Boy, I wanted to like this. I’ve liked other things from Colman, but this is a waste of time.
And poor Colman is just wrong here
Some really dodgy and predictable writing and, I’m sorry to say, not great acting. He’s not that much of a leading man. It reminded me of Tyler Perry trying to play Alex Cross.
Just not believable
As the series dragged on and the scene after scene of two people inexplicably whispering plots to each other (why not show us?), it was really hard to stay awake. Watching Colman’s run was painful. I always think it’s funny when non-athletic actors get a chance to play action roles.
Not everyone becomes an action star
(He wasn’t great at action on Fear the Walking Dead and he’s not there either). It always throws me off and smacks of a futile project. In every scene, his mouth is open as he “thinks” (a sign, in my opinion, that he’s uncomfortable and busy acting “sharp”).
