After two episodes, the show is very promising, the chemistry between the characters is infectious and sometimes even strangely… satisfying in a way that most shows are not, it’s just reminiscent of Community for those elements. I’m not sure if that’s an accurate depiction of how a therapist deals with issues, but it certainly gives Jason Segel a chance to do his thing. Harrison Ford plays Dr. Rhodes, Jason’s boss and mentor. I wasn’t sure how his character would work on this show, but Rhodes’ antisocial nature certainly plays into the character Ford is dealing with. pretty well, when you think of the more menacing elements of his Han Solo character in Star Wars, this show fits like a glove. Sean (Luke Tenney) is somehow too close to playing the role of Jimmy’s (Segel) son while dealing with his own family issues with his daughter Alice (Lukita Maxwell)… What I see here is so vivid and the possibilities are maybe (?) endless as I see Jimmy navigate these things. By the way, the opening theme of this show is so good that I didn’t even miss it while watching episode 2… And the music in this show is so good. Overall this has been an amazing show and I hope it continues to get better.
